There are 2 parts to this assignment.

Part 1: You will create a marine life of your own! Working in groups of 5, each group member will choose a different lifeform. You will choose from animal life: fish, reptile, marine mammal, or a seabird. You will also include one form of plant life: algae. Everyone in your group must represent a different part of marine life and you cannot choose the same topic. Your presentations can be in the form of a play, a formal presentation with the use of visual aids, or as a power point presentation. You will explain basic characteristics of your lifeform, what their eating habits and diet is like, and what areas of ocean they live in.

Part 2: You will research the components of your lifeform on your own, and write an informative essay to hand in with your presentation. You are writing a story of what it is like to live as that lifeform in the ocean. What would your daily life be like? How would you survive?
